Question about IBM ThinkPad R51 Notebook
I have an IBM R51 and is having a problem at startup ... when I turn the notebook does not appear nothing on the screen, or with an external monitor ... I was told that could be a virus in the bios ... as memory, processor and cooler are working perfectly ...
I spoke qa assistance in the plate is with ocilação power ... is that this is the problem? because neither assintecia able to agree ...
I await response ...
Try removing all the memory modules on the system, usually you'll get beeps. if you do get a beep try one memory module at a time see if you get something on the screen, observe also the lights on the system see if they would stay on or blink or flash. its rare that a virus would attack the BIOS, more-likely a bad motherboard or harddrive can be prevent the computer from starting up. hit me back on the results. thanks!
