I have floating bamboo flooring in my laundry area and the front load Samsung will NOT go into a spin without struggling for a very long time to get there. I suspect the floating floor as the culprit. Am going to try and screw down the areas around the four legs to see if that stabilizes it. But really... what good is this stupid smart Samsung if it can't handle a pretty stable floor..??

The legs on the washer are adjustable, the rear legs are often ( not always ) self adjusting, make sure the legs are not stuck and that they can move freely. But the front legs can screw in and out to move the washer depending on the floor the washer is sitting on. Make sure the washer is as low to the floor as possible. When the legs are screwed out too far the washer becomes wobbly. Often on the metal style legs there are lock nuts that can be tightened to secure the legs so they don't move on you. washers where really meant to sit on a cement floor, if your washer is on a wooden floor look carefully at the strength of the floor. If the floor is moving up and down when the washer is running, the floor may not be strong enough to support the washers weight. Most main floor laundry rooms floors are nailed down, the sub-floor is more secure if the sub-floor has been screwed down. Sometimes extra support may have to be added under the flooring to add some strength

Why won't my washer spin?

Sounds to me like your washer tub had a very unbalanced load in it (heavy blankets, jeans, or pillows, all piled to one side instead of evenly distributed around the inside of the tub), and it threw it off balance. When it began to wobble and knock, it may have broken the mechanics underneath the tub which make it spin. The only way to properly diagnose it is if you remove the outer casing of the washing machine and look beneath the tub for broken/out of place items.

What causes my frigidaire top load washer to vibrate and make rattling noise during spin cycle

There are springs and bumpers/shocks in the machine that hold the tub. When they break or come loose, the tub wobbles.

How to balance

By "balance", do you mean balance the load or balance the washer to keep it from wobbling on an unlevel floor?
You can adjust the front feet of the washer to "level" it with the floor.
Sorry I didn't quite understand your meaning. Hope you can use this info.

Windshield washer won't work when tank is in place, lift and move it 1 inch and works like a champ. doesn't matter how much I wiggle wires and connections still won't work when tank is seated in place,...

i do believe that this model has a pump thats built into the tank sounds like you need to remove this pump and clean it of an obstruction I think a spring washer retains it into tank housing carefully pry this spring washer out and pump should slip right out completley clean pump and tank with soap and water carefull to not get electric parts wet

My washer sounds like a freight train, I have been finding pieces of plastic in with the closth

I dont know whether you have secured the dryer to stop it from moving if it shakes about you need to secure it and make sure it is level(eg the floor is level or the dryer is level and all the leg screws are down and even so it doesn't wobble about.

The more the dryer wobbles about the drum inside will wobble inside the casing and it will break the things that hold the drum in place ,sound like that has already happened.but secure it in place and see what happens.

Tub is off balance

The tub is out of balance. When it starts hitting the sides, stop the washer and move your clothes around inside the tub to balance the tub. Now start it to spin again. This should stop the tub from hitting the sides.
