I purchased a lightly used iq506 on ebay after I unpacked it I set it up and I found the mouse and the touch screen do not work . I tried calibrating the screen, and changing the batteries in the mouse and "resyncing" the mouse but had no luck. the keyboard works fine. Needless to say I dont have any warranty. Have you heard of this problem?
We just returned 2 HP Touchsmart IQ504s in a one-month period.
Both times, the touchscreen stopped working within 2 weeks out of the box. HP could not resolve the issue. A critical defect with the camera.
Such a great concept but we are done.
Is it still under warranty? It should be. If not then HP will help either way. This is a new development for HP to start with. Go to HP/support.com there are questions there to match up with the problem you are having if not then you can send them you actual problem you are having. They will most likely either pick up your PC at no cost or do a remote access to resolve your issue. Have any problem in doing this let me know and I will help you.
