Problem sending the files by email for others to play on their PC

I have a problem with JVC Everio camcorder. I can play the files on the everio software and I can play them on the media player on my PC but when I go to send them by email to others the email gets stuck in my outbox and goes nowhere. I have converted the files into other files to see if anything else would work but it doesn't... can anyone help? the files are about 40MB - forgive me if I appear ignorant on this matter...

thank you for your response. I get no error message, they just sit there indefinitely...

thank for this suggestion. I have some stuff on you tube - problem is that i think that you can only let other people who have membership of you tube look at them. Plus if the files are too big then maybe i won't be able to put them onto DVD... got that problem too!! thought by buying an expensive product I had got something that would be easy to use!!

Do you get an error message when you send them telling you that it is too big to send or receive?

It is probably too big of an attachment to send. The other alternative might be to look at uploading your videos onto You Tube or another service and e-mailing the link to the video to them. If you are concerned about privacy on you tube, you can enable a setting on the sheet so that you pick and choose who can look at the videos as well.

Pinnacle Studio will work with your camcorder as far as getting videos onto DVD. It's an easy product to use too.

You may try this camcorder recovery tool named asoftech data recovery which helped me before. You can download trial for free
http://www.asoftech.com/adr/

Please be noted that your camcorder memory should show as a drive letter in your explorer, if not, you need to take out your memory card and connect using a card reader, or plug-in to card reader slot if there's any on your computer.

Share: How to import .tod files from JVC Everio HDD Camcorder to iMovie?

Requirements: iMovie (Part of the iLife 08 package)

Step 1: Connect the Everio to the Mac (Via USB)
Make sure you are powering the Everio from the mains before connecting your JVC Everio Camcorder.

Step 2: Playback on PC
Select “Playback on PC” on the Everio, once connected you will see the Everio HDD symbol appear on the desktop. The video files on the Everio are stored in the SD Folder/PRG***/MOV***.MOD.

Step 3: Open iMovie
Once you open iMovie, you will see that it recognizes the Everio straight away and will attempt to import your video.

You are now ready to use iMovie to edit your video files.

If need change .tod files to common video formats like mov, mp4, m4v, mpg, mpeg, dv, flv, avi, wmv, 3gp, mkv, mp3, aac, wma, m4a, etc. Mod Tod Video Converter for Mac is a good choice. The program can also convert mod tod to ipod, mod tod to iphone, tod to apple tv, tod to blackberry and more devices!

Playback on PC has no sound

Are you playing the video back through the camcorders utility ? Sometimes by clicking on the file through windows explorer you will get the picture but no sound, this happens for the Sony camcorder but is fixed by running the playback through the motion picture browser application supplied with the camcorder.

Deleting unwanted files with a JVC Everio MG130 Camera

Answer:what you do is you press the play/record button on the left side of the camcorder when it is open to get to the videos. then you use the laser touch operation to scroll to the video you want to delete. then, right under the screen there should be 5 buttons. the one to the left of the menu button has a picture of a garbage can looking thing above it. just press that and then press yes when it asks you if your sure.

vlc is a quick solution.
you can download the software for free and it plays most video files. just google VLC.
you may have to change the file from a .mod file to a .mpeg. but just re-name it yourself and it should work.
