Tight a little the drive belt, and test and replace the belt if necessary.
2) test the bearing motor and repair.
3) LUBE the deck belt and rollers bearing and replace if necessary maybe you have a WORN deck belt with noise!
God bless you

Cause of whinning noise when trying to start xg350 motor does not turn over. Not a clicking sound but a high pitched whinning sound.

1) Most likely.
Your starter is an electric motor, with a gear on one end.
Mounted on that same end is a part called a "Bendix" or an "overrunning clutch".
When that just mentioned part fails, the starter will not engage the flywheel, and you will get the noise of which you spoke.
2) Less likely.
If your timing belt fails, he engine will turn over at a high rate of speed, but it will not start.
God bless your efforts.

Grinding noise....sounds like metal

Check the disk brake pads. At slower speeds you can hear them squeak because there is less wind and road noise. The other possibility could be a bad u joint at the ends of the axle half shafts on the front differential. Check both. I really doubt it is the transfer case. You transfer case is engaged all the time. The axle is locked and engaged when you flip the lever by a vacuum motor on the axle shaft on the differential.

Hello I have a Ford Focus 02 ghia 1.6 when driving it makes a loud ticking noise that has got worse in the last few days. I checked the oil a month ago when it started and it was V.Low I topped it up but...

The ticking noise, if related to your engine would get faster and slower "with" your engines' RPM. If it isn't matching the engine then I would be wary of a possible wheel bearing getting ready to take you for the U-Turn of your life! Try pulling (very hard) on the top of the tire closest to that area to see if you can feel looseness or "play" ...cuz there shouldn't be any "play" or noises at all.

At high speeds, I here a high pitched squeal coming from the passenger side dashboard. Its like the wind is reflrcting off something and it makes this annoying sound. Can you help me figure this out.

I'd check the passenger side mirror first, make sure it is tight to the window frame, no gaps. It causes a wind noise or whistle. It could be from the outside of the truck, try to pin point. Does noise go away with either window down? Does noise get louder turning in one direction (wheel bearing)? Does it get worse then seem better (could be tire noise)? Eliminate fan motor, and radio. Does it get worse with vehicle speed or just engine speed?

2002 dodge durango whinning noise will your

Thank you for getting back to me. I would like you to check your transmission fluid. start the engine and let it warm up at idle speed for about 15 min and check the fluid. It sounds like you do not have enough in it, there for the whining noise with increase of speed since your transmission is speeding up with the rate of your vehicle. If this does not help and the problem persist please let me know. If the noise you were hearing was coming from the u joints of the vehicle it would not make a whining noise with increase of speed. The u joints will only make a noise when they are going bad when the vehicle is shifted into any gear from the shifter( EX: park to drive, park to reverse ECT.)

I have a 1996 Plym. Grand Voyager, hesitation & stalling.

If it works well at speed and acts up when slowing or stopped it doesn't sound like fuel filter or pump. You can try running injector cleaner through the engine to clean the carborator injectors or fuel injectors if you have those. Look at replacing the plugs and wires on the motor.
