Question about JBL CREATURE II Computer Speakers

Open Question

Sounds like JBL Creature sub is rattling...

Hey, Ive had my JBL Creature 2 system for about two weeks. I didnt notice it at first, which suggests it may not have been there, but there seems to be a rattling noise coming the speaker its self, like the cone or something. It doesnt seem to be plasticy, but almost like it has blown slightly. I listen to quite a lot of Drum and bass and electronic music, and at times at a fair volume, would you say that it has blown, or just the sub cant handle the bass at times? Or is this normal...
Thanks

SOURCE: JBL Creature doesn't work

Its not a problem, but all you need to do is push the pins at the back a little more...I know it feels like pins are all the way in, but they really aren't.

SOURCE: JBL Creature -- speakers only work when directly connected

Check that you are fitting the connectors into the subwoofer correctly.
Each plug is keyed (the plug is shaped so that it will only fit into the correct socket).
It is very easy to think you have plugged them in when in reality they are just 'located' in the holes.

SOURCE: buzzing sound coming from my jbl creature speakers no music

Hi I have had my JBL speakers for 2 years now. Recently the sub woofer has been making a buzzing sound but it continued to work ok. Now the speakers have also stopped working! Is there a solution to this problem? Would be grateful if someone got back to me.

My Creature II speakers still work however the big subwoffer isnt working. I think it is probably just the cord but is there a way I can be sure

Which cord are you thinking of? If you look at the subwoofer there are 4 cords. One to the left tweeter, one to the right tweeter, one to the computer and one to the power.
  1. As both the tweeters are woring then those 2 cords are OK.
  2. As both tweeters are working then the cord to the computer is OK.
  3. As both tweeters are working then the cord to the power is OK.
  4. Therefore it is not 'just the cord.'
What I would suggest is checking that the sub has not been turned down - one of the silver posts on the sub. If that is not the case and you cannot turn the sub volume up then I suggest that you replace the system. They probably cost more to repair than to buy new.

Hey there, I have JLB Creature II speakers, that have been working fine for nearly a year. Until one day, when the treble's maximum volume became a lot lower than before. The bass still rocks it up like...

Hi Nikita,

The problem may be with the internal electronics of these speakers, especially the sub-system that controls the treble. If they are still under warranty, you should talk to the dealer. If not, you should contact a technician.

Hope that helps,
Regards,
Raspal

JBL Creature 2 Blowing Fuse

There will be a short somewhere in the power supply. If you replace the fuse it will blow again. You COULD try a larger ampage fuse, but any electrician would not recommend this!
