Question about IBM ThinkPad 390X 2626 Notebook
I would like to replace batery. How do I get to it?
my laptop is IBMThinkPad type 2626
Go to this link and look up the procedure for clear instructions: http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/37l5153.pdf On page 62 is a clear picture. Essentially you turn the laptop over, on the lower part of the laptop, you will see two latch type things, press down onthe top of these and push upward to the top of the laptop then pull the battery out from the right hand side. If you are talking about the BIOS batter, look at page 69, but you'l have to remove the modem card to get the bios battery out.

Look on the bottom of your computer,it should have a compartment for battery and one for your hard drive, the battery is the longer cover. Open cover replace battery.
