Question about Microtech Computers & Internet
Last night for no apparent reason my monitor went black . The power light is ON but no picture . When i hold the power button down the monitor comes on for about 1 second , then turns totally black again .
I've un-plugged it and turned on and off my computer but the problem still exists . This monitor is not but 2 years old and i cannot think of any reason it would stop working . Pressing the other funtion buttons seems to have no effect on correcting the problem either . Please help me to figure out why the monitor went black and can i do anything (myself) to fix the problem . I've enjoyed the picture and dont wish to give up on this monitor .
One reason that this is happening could be that it is on Power saving mode. This happens when the LCD monitor detecs an incorrect timing then thats the time that the LCD goes blank and the power botton starts to blink.
what you need to do is to turn the computer off. Unplug cables attach to the LCD make sure it is also off, once done press the power botton for a couple of 30secs to a minute and then release. After doing so re-connect all the cables and make sure that both ends is tight and secure once everything is ok turn the computer on same with the monitor to check if it solves the problem.
