Re: Havimg prob with the 2 usb ports located in front

Hi manky, Normally front USB ports have a pair of 4 wire cable with connectors marked red wire is vcc; white wire is -D; green wire is +D; and black wire is gnd. The motherboard would normally have two pairs of dual pin connectors that would be sitting side by side or in-line with uneven pins - 4 and 5 pins; then another 4 and 5 pins. Please refer to the attached simple diagram for your connection. For some reason I couldn't get hold of a manual from the Gigabyte site of your particular model GA-81KHXT. Nonetheless hopes this works for you. Pls post again how things turn up. Good luck and kind regards.

SOURCE: gigabyte motherboard connection front panel to motherboard?

Have you reseated them properly? Did you have the power connected still when you took them out and put them back in? If you had power still plugged in you have probably fried the ports.

You could try reseting the Bios settings using the jumper of the motherboard after installing the new Rams. Anyways ,its working, so don't do that now :P .

You will need the motherboards manual to help you with connecting USB_1, USB_2 and F_PANEL audio to you're case. If you do not have you're manual for the GA-8S650GXM you can download it from Gigabyte;
You will also need Adobe reader installed to view the manual.
Gigabyte GA-8S650GXM main web site;
Turn to page 18. Number 17, F_USB1/F_USB2. Use the link provided below to help you connect you're front case USB wires to the motherboard;
Turn to page 24, for front audio connections. Keep in mind once you configure you're audio to function from you're cases front audio port you will not be able to use the rear audio port. Caution, most people find bumping any front case USB or audio cords break far too easely. To avoid breaking the front audio port, consider using a Y splitter for the rear audio port as shown in the next link;;_ylt=Ah94ikZN9zDbTi2.arc45BkbFt0A

Hope you find this helpful.

I have gigabyte series g31 m-es2L i want use memory pc 5300.... it's support with this mainboard ???? tx pls reply to :

First, clarification: the closest Gigabyte model is GA-G31M-ES2L... there is no "g31 m-es2L"

For this kind of question the easiest way to find the answer is from the manufacturer: Gigabyte

A quick search of their products results in:

which states that up to 800mhz DDR2 (PC6400) is supported
( 667mhz (PC5300) is also supported. )

Generally with motherboards, if a higher speed of memory is supported, the lower speeds are also supported.

PS: mhz times 8 yields the PCxxxx number, PCxxxx divided by 8 yields the mhz number
