Hi manky,

Normally front USB ports have a pair of 4 wire cable with connectors marked red wire is vcc; white wire is -D; green wire is +D; and black wire is gnd. The motherboard would normally have two pairs of dual pin connectors that would be sitting side by side or in-line with uneven pins - 4 and 5 pins; then another 4 and 5 pins. Please refer to the attached simple diagram for your connection.
For some reason I couldn't get hold of a manual from the Gigabyte site of your particular model GA-81KHXT.
Nonetheless hopes this works for you. Pls post again how things turn up. Good luck and kind regards.

have an rs482-m socket 939 motherboard. i can't get the front computers pink and green plugs to work with a headphone. i did notice inside 4 wires that were not plugged in anywhere. i found a place on the motherboard marked audio where these could go, but i can't figure out which plugs go where on the board. anyone have the users manual. thanks
