Question about U.S. Robotics MAXg USR5421 802.11g/b Wireless Adapter
HI i use wireless adapter US robotics MAXg,and seems that i connected to modem. The ikon shows status connected, signal strenth exelent, before it was showing aquiring ip adress(if you use automatic update ip adress in internet protocol)i set in manually .Still can not get access to internet. My modem works perfect,we use wpa/tkip security.Adaptor was set with the same security standarts and passphrase. If you use the command prompt i can see that media state disconnected.I tryed to to check for ping google.com result was "ping request cant find host". Should i use manually set ip adress in internet protokol if automatic can not get ip adress?Should i use windows to configure wireless connection or let the tool manage it?What is available solution to solve my problem?Thank you..
Let you router allocate the ip addresses manually by enabling DHCP and restart the router, and remove the usb adapter from the usb port and reconnect it, but when you right click on the taskbar on the little pc icons for your connection click enable WZC windows wireless Zero configuration as this will dissable the software you got with the usb adapter and hopefully make the connection more stable, but ensure you have a strong signal.
