Question about Samsung ML-1450 (Open Box) Printer

Samsung ML-1450 "Time out" error

I have a Samsung ML-1450 laser printer. It recently quit printing...and after a long wait it spits out a piece of paper with "set paper type"/"default time-out"/ "set density" along w/ other garble across the top. Is there any way to fix this?

    Since it had been unplugged for 24 hours, I tried it once more before re-installing anything and it went right back to working properly. YAY! Thanks:)

I would try to reinstall the drivers for this printer and make sure it is your default or selected printer. It sounds like the drivers were changed or corrupt. Any new software install may of done this. Also try to let the printer be unpluged from power for 24 hours.

I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.
If you are using factory new cartridges, then please call the manufacturers Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

either paper is stuck in it somwhere, your carts are **** or the fuser is worn out.

Printer prints too light


dust in the LSU (laser unit), you have to clean LSU.

Sounds like your PCU is starting to fail. There is a cleaner roller that removes any remained toner and this could be shot. Try replacing the PCU. If this makes no difference it could be the fuser though this si less likely.

Samsung ML-1710P Printer Problem


Most probably you took one of the paper sensors out of place. Any printer technician can happily put it back.
