    Internet crashes frequently

  • terryjeal Apr 17, 2009

I have the same problem, and there is no virus on my system. I have an arsenal of anti-virus progs, and they all give my PC a clean bill of health. It only happens on certain sites. For example, I can't access www.blackberry.com AT ALL with Internet Explorer 8. The sites that are OK are ALWAYS OK, and the sites that produce the 216 error ALWAYS produce the error. There is something on those sites that IE8 doesn't like, but no one seems to have identified it yet - at least as far as I can find by Googling "runtime error 216".

Hi there
your computer is infected with a SubSeven Trojan virus.
Don't bother using Norton as its ****!
I recommend you download "Spybot search and destroy" its a free program and is very good at locating these type of viruses, install the program and run it, also do a Microsoft update to get the patch for Internet explorer security issues

Good luck

Run time error 216 can cause permanent damage to your operating system if left unrepairable.

Symptoms of Run-time Error 216 This Trojan invades the registry and modifies command files, sometimes with unpredictable results. Some of the common symptoms include:
  • Inability to open some programs such as internet explorer
  • Random CD/DVD drives opening and closing
  • Pop up dialogue boxes appearing randomly
  • Appearance and disappearance of important files
  • Extremely slow downloads
First
  1. Boot to safe mode by pressing the F8 key at start up
  2. Once the system has booted run a good anti virus program to eliminate the Trojan

You will need to also use a good registry cleaner to fix all of the entries that the Trojan modified. Once all that is done, the error should disappear for good.
summary Any time you have a virus, Trojan or other form of malware that causes a noticeable error in system behavior or performance, you should run a manual anti-virus and spy ware scan. Once that is complete, you should run a good registry cleaner to remove all of the damage and left over junk entries these programs can leave behind after they are dead.

When i click on any application i get an error open with how can i reoslve this?

Without seeing the exact text of the error message I can't tell you for sure what's wrong, but you might have a malware problem. Many of the fake anti-virus programs that can infect your computer will make it behave this way. Any application you try to run results in a message that it can't start because it's infected. And you may be getting "virus scan" windows popping up telling you all the bad viruses it's finding, and telling you need to activate your virus protection. It's all a scam and the only bad software is that program itself.

Download and install the free version of MalwareByte's Anti-Malware. Restart your computer in "safe mode with networing". This will keep the infected program from running so that MBAM can run. Let it update and do a quick scan, have it correct any problems it finds, and this should clear up the trouble.

Hi, need to get remote virus/trojan removal... anything I download is immediately infected.. help? Jasmine.

Hi. Sorry to here of your infection., Luckily, Microsoft has an answer for it.
Go to this website:
http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

And click on the full system scan button
It may ask you to allow activex, but that's ok, it's needed to run and is part of the program.

Let it scan all the way, then after it scans, hyst click next and it should get rid of all the bugs.

The only other option is to use a different computer to download Microsoft Security Essentials, put it on a flash drive, or on a cd {recommended}. If it's on a flash drive, the drive could get infected when you plug it into your computer, but not a cd. Run the MSE installer, and it will immediately run a scan, as part of it's installation.
It is a free program from Microsoft, and it is a great anti-virus program, with built in anti-spyware and anti-malware ! I know this works, because a virus had destroyed my Norton AV, and I had to get something that would automatically block processes from viruses. MSE does that.
I hope this info is helpful, and I hope you get those bugs out of your computer.

This is a problem I see very often, its down to antivirus 2010 (which btw you prob have already guessed is not a legitimate antivirus, its malware)

The only way to fix this properly is to use an antivirus boot cd (it wouldnt let you install anything otherwise, the norton you tried to install it has corrupted)

Look on google for AVG boot cd, its easy to make but you'll have to use another pc to do so.

Once you've run it and its cleaned the infections then reboot the machine and see if you can login properly now, if not then you'll need to go for a reinstallation of the operating system (I prefer to do this anyway as its always faster)

Everytime I open my garena it did'nt works, It always a runtime error

If you're connected to the internet and it didn't work it means that the directory of the program has a missing important file. This is happening when someone delete it intentionally or cut and paste it into another directory or the anti-virus has been detected some file of it potentially infected with virus and automatically deleted in your system that causes trouble in running the program.
The solution is TO REINSTALL THE PROGRAM OR APPLICATION.

Error R6002 floating point not loaded

Causes of Runtime Error R6002
Several causes exist behind this error. One of the most prominent ones is a broken link. This link apart from causing the run time error 06002 can also produce other errors like the computer not responding to any instruction at times. If a software has not been properly installed it can also produce such errors. Apart from that, use of internet without any anti-virus software can make your computer applications get infected with spyware and viruses. Such viruses can produce missing links inside your registry causing such errors.

Why are these errors caused? Many computer users are just not aware of the reasons resulting in these errors and what are the solutions to get rid of these errors. Remember, these errors can be solved very simply, and they are not going to cost you money. Usually many people exercise the option of getting professional technicians to resolve these problems. But this is not necessary. Through following the simple procedures suggested below you will be able to eliminate the error r6002.
If you take time and start noticing, you will find that the runtime errors are due to corrupted or damaged registry. You must know that the registry is the most importance place which is a storehouse of all the data, about both the software and hardware installed in the PC. When you uninstall software or remove a device there may be some traces of such actions left in the registry and manually it will be impossible to remove them. You should be having knowledge of computers to do this, since it is not advisable to access the registry without this knowledge and manually delete these files. A wrong move can result in damaging the PC irreversibly.
Therefore the only method to fix the runtime error r6002, along with many other errors, you should use the registry cleaner. With a registry cleaner you can repair the runtime error r6002 all by yourself, without seeking help of technician. This way you can save money and time, and you will also know the action to be taken next time when you encounter such errors.
Using the registry cleaner should be optimized with the antivirus cleaner, and if you program in such a manner that both the virus scanning and registry cleaner can take place simultaneously, for which purpose you should schedule these activities on the computer, and ensure that at that particular time the computer is switched on, without your botheration of checking them, they will do their job on their own, leaving you to attend to your work.

Operating System infected by Trojan Horse. My

Restart your computer, and keep pressing F8, until you get the Windows "start-up" menu -- white text over a black background.
Choose "Safe Mode", and see if you can logon.

Then, try one (or more) of the anti-virus scanners listed at:
http://www.facebook.com/security?v=app_10442206389

Or, follow the "best practises" recommended by Microsoft:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc700813.aspx
and backup your data files, reinstall Windows & your anti-virus software,
and reload your data files.

Hello and thank you for using Fixya!

This issue can occur if your computer is infected with a SubSeven Trojan virus (per, Microsoft).

Run a virus scan and rid of all viruses, malware, etc.

If you have a free antivirus, remove it and install a free trial of Kaspersky. This will rid the virus. You can then uninstall Kasperky and install the free one after removal of trojan.

Hope this helps!
