i'm sorry to tell you this news. motorola motoyuva w270 cannot use for internet connection trough PC. there is no specification for internet modem. try another phone that support for modem. hope this useful, regards.
To be able to connect to the GPRS, you must have the following:
1. GPRS activated on your phone number. 2. Get and configure the settings on the phone. These settings include a) Port Setting and Port number, b) IP address and c) APN name. All these being service provider specific have to be obtained from the service provider. So, please contact them after the GPRS has been activated. rest of the settings are user dependent. And d) the dialing number which is generally *99# or on these lines also to be obtained from the service provider.
The service provider will also palm off the MMS to you. Do not accept as it is very expensive to use it, unless someone else is paying your bills.
To get GPRS/MMS setting, you need to contact your service
provider through phone or go directly to their office.
They will send you the settings for your model. You will
receive service settings in the special text message called as smart message.
Please save the settings to your phone and set it has default settings. Then
you can start using the GPRS/MMS in your phone.
If you have a Motorola W230 and you don't know how to backup your contacts in the phone memory, I found a quick way to transfer it in quick steps, instead of doing it one by one. I wrote a guide to do it at this link! http://www.nomadtravellers.com/various-topics/142-motorola-w230-backup-your-phonebook-without-connecting-the-pc-suite
As far as i know, no one has checked out pc suites of other motorola mobiles i guess. As of now, no pc suites available.
As i use the same phone, its given in the manual that it supports only sandisk company micro SD memory cards to my horror.Somehow i got the fly mobile memory card working but this card doesn't work in other mobiles. The only way to get mp3 is to activate internet, GPRS and download songs.Else you got to use an adapter for the memory card, connect to pc, store info and go on with the mobile. You got no prob with connecting phone to pc or instead using an adapter for a memory card.
Both the same.
Anpother prob is that you will have a very low download speed through the internet. So, its better you connect memory card to the pc.
