Replacements generally have a cost of $15 for

warranty. We do offer a warranty service called Protection Plan which
is $7 per month and covers purchased and leased equipment, as well as
covering S&H and reducing the cost of technician visits.
Do you know the model number of your receiver? If you look on the front of the receiver, it has a model number on the bottom left corner (e.g.VIP 612, 722..etc.). Try unplugging the receiver from the electrical outlet for about 10 seconds and plug back in. This will reboot the receiver and re-acquire satellite signal. After the picture returns, try to record the program you are watching. If this doesn't fix the problem, please call DISH Network at 1-800-333-3474 and speak to Technical Support. We may need to replace the receiver.
The ethernet port is not active on these receivers thus not allowing you to get on ine. There currently are no plans to activate this in the future but you may for an upgrade to a 722 which does allow this and is HD capable and has 300 hours of SD record tine available. Thanks for using Fix Ya.
