I have a 22" digihome LCD TV with built in DVD. At 3am every morning the DVD activates and buzzes away. The screen doesn't come on but there is a loud click as the speakers activate. How can I stop this...

3am is the freeview box update time it will do this every day at 3am the loud click you hear you should not hear it but it may be the update switch that turns the tv out of standby for the freeview to be updated its a different switch that turn this on and may be sticking.

Turned the TV on this morning and it is making a clicking noise

I know exactly what the problem is. If you feel competent to do so..remove the back of the tv with the power disconnected for your safety. On the power board located in the centre you will see capacitors on the right of the board that have bulging tops..There are usually 4 of them that bulge (go faulty) like this..The value of each of these should be 1000uF..Replace these by buying from Maplins Electronics or CPC, both online..Solder new ones in (takes 10 mins) and all will be ok..

When I try to turn on my Samsung LN-T4042H LCD HDTV it is now constantly clicking in a continuous loop and will not immediately turn on. It started out small- a few clicks yesterday morning. Today it...

There is a problem with the power supply in your TV. The regulator switch is causing teh clicking sound you hear. In order to fix it, you will need to replace the power supply. This is done by taking off the back cover of the TV, locating the power supply which is usually a yellow board that will have many high voltage capicators on it and replacing it with a new one.
