PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key. This is a uniqueeight-digit code specific to your SIM card. This is required when the PINnumber to unlock your mobile phone is entered incorrectly 3 times. You are thengiven 10 attempts to enter your PUK code. If an incorrect PUK code is enteredafter the 10th attempt, you will block your SIM card permanently and willrequire a new SIM card from your mobile phone provider. PUK codes can be obtained through the following ways -
The PUK code is in your SIM card documentation Starter Pack.If you do not have this then -Please contact your phone service provider. Your cell phone service provider can give you the PUK code once you give themyour account details and they have confirmed your identity.
Hello and Welcome to FixYa! PIN/PIN2 and PUK codes are all service provider dependent you can NEVER get it from any 3rd service. So never trust any source that claim that they can give you your PIN or PUK. You can get it free and it is your right, all you have to do is to call your service provider (Orange,T-Mobile..) from some other phone or land-line and ask them for the code, they will first authenticate the ownership of that specific SIM Card connection and will give you your PIN/PUK code in return. Note it somewhere for future reference. I Hope you will have a clearer picture now. If you have any questions/problems do ask me, I'm here to help. If you think I was of help, your token of appreciation in the form of rating will be esteemed. Concerned, Nooh
