Question about Computers & Internet
Alright , i have just got a new computer and i downloaded some video files (mostly like avi movies and flv's and mpeg's) but the problem is that when i click on any of them to watch them i always get a message saying that i need new software and that some portions of the file can't be played. and by the way , i have got real player gold and windows media player 11 too and everytime i try to watch a video , (i open the video in either real player or windows player) and neither want to play the video. Also all my video files read that their file type is a video clip or movie clip when they used to say avi and etc.???? (Any reason why?) so just please help me figure out what exactly i need to do man!!!!! i'd appreciate it!!!!!
This is something you can try.
Go into My Computer.
Right click one of the video clips.
Select "Open With", then "choose program".
Now you should get a list of programs you can play the file with, the best ones are at the top.
Select Windows Media Player or Real Player.
Now if the video clip works OK....
Repeat the procedure, but this time check the box below that says "always open this type of files with the selected program".

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
