Question about Washing Machines
Hi there, Hope you can help. We have a Bosch washing machine, which had a new pump fitted a year or so ago. The machine is about 5 years old now. I used to remove the filter at the front of the machine and clean it. After it was fixed, the filter was placed back in the machine so tightly I could not twist the part at all manually. I used a spanner and the cross piece at the front disintergrated. Any suggestions in how to remove it? Will I have to cut it out somehow? I have a new part on the way here. Appreciate your time. Toby Walker
You have to get the filter out by any means possible, what I would suggest is that if there is any part of the filter left to get a grip of, then use a strong pair of pliers or grips, and grasp what is left of the filter cover, and try and twist and pull at the same time.
Or try and lever it out with a screwdriver or similar. one way or another, it nshould come out
If all else fails, then drill a hole in the center of cover
and leverit out that way.
Plz rate my solution.
