The screen of my Compaq nx6110 screen keeps going black and on! Whenever it goes black, it will come back on if you press into the back of the lid a little, flip the lid to a different position, or reposition the laptop. Why is this happening, and how do i solve this problem?
Re: My compaq nx6110 screen goes black and on, why?
This is the issue with the monitor. This is a hardware issue. Please connect the notebook to external monitor and check .If it is working fine then it is the issue with the LCD of notebook
If not then this is the issue with the video card.

I suggest try to load in BIOS check if the problem exist in BIOS, if it happens in BIOS most likely its a hardware,if not its a software, if its a software what i suggest try to reinstall the Operating System.
You need to dig around on your machine and find the program the machine came with which controls power usage and adjust the PLUGGED IN versus BATTERY settings; they have gotten reset somehow. Check first in the system tray in the lower right hand corner of the screen.
