Question about Fossil Rectangle Silver FS4296 Watch for Men

Fossil Fs 4296

Can someone please tell me whether this watch needs a battery?

The manual that came with it is some generic piece of **** that tells me nothing.

If it doesn't need a battery, anyone know how to wind it?

Thanks

Yes, your watch definetely needs a new battery. Find your nearest watch repair shop and ask to replace battery. Your watch will tick as brand new.:))

The model the FOSSIL you have is a battery operated .If this watch is a brand new then there is a plastic lock in the crown to stop this watch working so that the battery not to cosumed. You better take this plastic lock then push the crown inside in order to work, if happen still not working then the problem is busted battery ,you better replaced the battery with identical rating or number. This watch is easly to open take a dull kitchen knife ,at the back casing there is a marker like a concave shape were you to put the knife .Inclined the knife to open the watch then replaced the battery. When you going to close you better align the gasket in the back cover in order water can't get inside, then press it to closed,a click sound you hear. What battery does the fossil fs 3105 watch take

It's actually a lot easier than that video shows. You're trying to represent a watch that is a PDA! To change the battery in your watch, you need to purchase a watch kit on eBay for about $15-$25, purchase the correct battery, watch a realistic video of changing a battery on Youtube, and then you will never need to pay more than the cost of a battery (a few dollars) to change your watch battery ever again! Sending it to Fossil takes time and money and you can do it at home with basic skills!

I don't have the original battery to my watch, and am looking for a replacement. The watch is a Fossil Arkitekt FS-3031

Thank you for contacting FixYa.

Unfortunately, unless it is stamped on the back of the watch, or it is in your manual, there is no way of knowing the battery that goes in any watch without the old one, or very accurate sizing of the area it goes in. You can try to contact Fossil via this link:

http://www.fossil.com/en_US/shop/customer_care/static/fossil-customercare.html

Best regards.
