Motorola RAZR V3m External Display Problem

Ok so i've been reading posts on here for quite some time. My silver Motorola RAZR V3m was functioning perfectly, it's never fallen and its never been wet. I've taken absolute care of it and its around 6 months old.

A few days ago, i had an issue where the screen would go white; i thought maybe it was a battery issue so i discharged the battery and recharged to full, i havent had the white screen issue in a while. The problem i'm having now is... The External display no longer display's the time when the phone is closed, it will display the logo. The phone's keypad no longer lights up on it's own when i open the phone; it seems i have to manually press a key for it to light up.

Closing, if for some reason i'm having a problem with the inner strip or whatever it's called.... why would i still have a working External and Internal display? The displays work, but they aren't working as suppose to. It's almost as if the phone no longer knows when its Open or Closed...

Any ideas? thoughts? I have insurance on the phone and it's still under warranty, i'm just trying to gather some information.

My phone is from MetroPCS in the Miami, Florida Area.
