No sound too same laptop. I went and did a system restore to an earlier time. Go to start- control panel- Performance and Maint- then look on the left upper corner for System restore. It will ask for the date to go back to. You might loose some programs, but i think that there is a conflicting program in there that disables the pc speakers. I don't know which one but i am working on finding it.

My laptop has no sound. After formatting it and re-installing windows 7 ultimate, it does not sense USB and has no sound. The message i get get is no audio device is installed. How can you help me to have...

Hi,

Since you just installed WIN 7, I suggest you check the device manager first.

You can do this by clicking on the start button "Orb" then type in device manager, it should show up immediately.

Then you can check there what drivers you're missing, it should show up with a yellow question mark.

From there, you can right click on the said device and you should have an option to "Update Driver".

This should work if you have an active internet on the computer.

Also, this should help if you cannot do that..

Just download the drivers into your desktop screen and then install them one by one.

The sound driver should work as soon as you install the correct driver.

If you have more questions, you can just ask here.

Thanks,

Oliver

Toshiba satellite notebook4 laptop. Device manager shows big yellow ? on multimedia audio controller. Sounds and audio devices show there is no sound installed. Can you help

You'll need to get the proper driver for your system. This function...MAC...has different drivers for different systems. Go to the Toshiba website and search for the drivers for your specific laptop. You probably won't find a "MAC" driver. Sometimes its a sound driver, sometimes a chipset driver, sometimes something else. So download and install all of the drivers they have. One of them should fix your driver problem.
