The lens is adjusted in a camera at a particular setting.if that get moves the lens does not come up to the required allignment to work so this error comes.some times tapping on the sides of the camera gets the allignment adjusted and it starts working but if that does not help then the only way is to open the device and adjust the camera lens to its position manually.and that can be done by a proper technician at a repair center.or may be if the lens is cracked or broken internally it needs replacement.

Hello, everytime i turn on my camera it says lens error , restart camera. How do I fix that problem?

If you hear a crunching noise this means the gears are chewed up. Sometimes you can manually pull the lens out while powering on. Hope this helps.

Im having err99 everytime i switch the aperture to f/8 and above..

Try a different lens. That lens may not be suitable for the camera if it is not a canon lens. If it is a canon lens and you get that error wil all lenses then you will need to have the camera repaired.

First off, see if Canon can help you. If not, the following blog outlines some repair options for a lens error. They won't work for all cases, but they're worth a try: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html
