You need to make sure your fans, and vents are kept clean, if they cant cool the lamp properly, it will make the lamp go out faster, also change your setting in the menue to power save, or low power, saves on lamp time

My 62 inch mitsubishi projection tv comes for about a minute then goes out with the lamp light on what is the problem

I would suspect if when it comes on it is a bit dark it may be the lamp itself---when was last time set was serviced or lamp replaced---by service I mean these sets need to be cleaned out inside from dust or dirt building up in the air channels---this will also shut the set down.

Lamp failure is much more common than the ballast.

My 62 inch dlp tv came on and was working then with out any noise or notice the picture went to black and a steady red light came on under the word "lamp". We looked at the bulb and it does not look burned...

The tv lamp was replaced when? The tv on about 4 or 5 hours a day right? The lamp was replaced about a year or a year an a half ago?The projection lamp is dead, the life span is over.Must replaced with a new lamp.

Mitsubishi 65in DLP TV picture is not clear after I replaced the bulb. It was clear before the bulb was replaced but it seems to take time to catch up and is a little fuzzy.

Sometimes dust can get in between the lamp and lens take lamp out and check for dust with a lint free cloth.
If thats not it it could be the manufacturer of the lamp. I usually try to get the same manufacturer. You can try tinkering with sharpness or contrast but remember the points you adjust from just in case it makes it worst.
Good luck

I need to change the lamp, where do i start?

Look on the back of the set there should be a 4 inch by 4 inch door that has 2 screws in it , take them off then unscrew the screws in the lamp, they do not come out of the housing, then grab the handle and pull it straight out. Replace in reverse order, the door has to be put back in place before you turn the tv back on, it engages a switch, tv will not come on it it is not back on the set.

Dull almost Foggy picture.

you need to take the screws out from around the screen in the back, on edges, go to the front and take the screws out from the bottom of the screen, should be 4 or 6 in the front, pick up on the screen and lift off, only about 8 pounds, now clean the little mirror in front of the projector, and clean the dust off the projector lence, that will solve it, iv had to do this on about 50 of thease tv's

Mitsubishi rear projection tv color problem

I'm going to guess that this unit is a DLP projection set and that the lamp is not new. Try a new lamp. The heat of the lamp will char over time. If not the lamp, some of the internal filters in the light engine might be getting effected by heat and require replacement.

Keep us posted.
