I changed the betteries in the remote control - didn't work. Switched the power on and off - didn't work. Also tried to use the program up and down buttons on the side of the tv, still didn't didn't work. Can anyone help please!

Hey, The same thing happened to me today. I've had the tv for about 3 months now. There's not much information available on this so I was wondering if by any chance you got your tv fixed? Thanks.

My 3 month old bush tv will not switch on, it has no power

If there's no led light in the front panel and you've confirmed that the outlet is good(working with other unit), this is an indication that the power supply section is not working(dead). Sometimes it was caused by blown fuse due to voltage surge, replacing with same ampere and voltage ratings will cure the problem. But if the fuse is intact, many parts in the power supply section are going to check like the fusible resistor, faulty voltage regulator transistor/IC etc.

Since your unit is only 3 months old, don't attempt to open the back cover because it will void the warranty, avail it because the manufacturer will fix it for free. You may contact your dealer(service center) to have it service in your home as much as possible for your convenient.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Hope I helped you.

Have a nice day!

Thanks for using Fixya.

I have a BUSH 7671 tv which I have had for over 10 years The problem I have is that it sometimes will not switch on either with the P (programme button or the remote control) The remote is very old and I...

The tv set will not work with the remote and power button on tv, that tells me you have bad connections on the main board in the set or bad capacitors. The remote is fine, but television needs to be checked by a tv tech with an estimate.

Picture is too wide

It may be due to power supply regulator inside the tv circuit. Your TV is working at overvoltage. most of todays TVs are working at 110v DC. It is derived from a switched mode power supply section inside the tv circut board itself. You must rectify it soon, otherwise it may lead to several problems later, including filament burn of picture tube. Contact an expert mechanic soon.

Just had same problem today. Presumably you've seen the more recent solutions on other web sites regarding replacing the C330 capacitor. It appears to be an over-temperature issue. After trying to press all sorts of buttons, removing plug for a time, leaving off for a time, it just started to work again but I don't know how! The tv stands beside a radiator and this may have been on for a while and caused this problem. Will monitor situation before diving into its innards.
