Troubleshooting PRINT START FROM MIDDLE AND THEN GOES TO LEFT SIDE OF THE PRINTER PRINTER HEAD PRINTS ON LEFT SIDE MAKES TOO MUCH SOUND

You most likely have some build up dirt on the bottom of the print head. If you can take the print head out do so and clean the bottom with a damp cloth. If you can't get it out take a damp cloth and get the print head to the middle of it's run and unplug printer then get the damp cloth under the print and do a side to side motion to clean the bottom of the print head.

You don't say what make or model of printer, so I can't give specific instructions.

However, you probably need to perform a head cleaning process on the printer, assuming it is an inkjet printer.

You should have some printer control software on your PC. Find that, and select troubleshooting, or maintenance, or something similar.

You should find an option to clean the print head, which is an automated process that the printer carries out when you select it.

You just need to remove the toner and reach in with a dry rag and wipe the little inch wide window that is above where the toner goes. This window gets covered with toner dust and makes prints lighter...It runs all the way from right to left above the toner and drum.

This is quite normal with this series of printers. Happens on my 6310. It "machine guns" only occassionally (once a month), and then the gunning noise slows down slowly, then the print starts. Might be shaking the head to clear ink rigorously or something.

Your printer needs a service reset. Epson printers will only accept x number of cartridge changes / print head cleans. Basically it's telling you that the waste ink pad is saturated. It will cost about £30.00 from a local service centre

I think the noise is normal for hp deskjet. When starting up, the printer read the head existence, and do cleaning. is it the first replacement cartridge? Disable ink status monitor.

Check your paper size and orientation settings in the printer dialog box.

Replacing the print head
The print head may need replacing if, after all print head and ink tank troubleshooting has been performed:

• The nozzle test appears broken or to have horizontal white streaks.
  
• One or more of the colors is missing from the Nozzle Test.
  
• The colors are incorrect on the Nozzle Test.
  
• A print head error is indicated on the unit.
  
• The printer powers off when the print head is installed.

either your ink level is low or empty , or you might be having a problem with the wire strip that goes to the printer head, or even a faulty ink cartridge ( you can only get so many prints on each ink cartridge) how lomg have you been printing on the cartridge? have you tried to clean the cartridge?
