Did you recently replace your monitor? What is your current resolution setting? What operating system?

  1. Use the System Configuration Utility to safely turn off programs that start-up through the Windows Registry. Access this utility by going to the Start-->Run
    screen resolution reminder - run.jpg
  2. Type msconfig and press Enter.
  3. Under the Startup tab there is a list of all the programs that start in the Windows Registry. By unchecking many of the programs you can speed up the launch time of Windows.
  4. It is recommended that you keep the lines that say ScanRegistry and SystemTray.

When i play my game i cant see the whole screen how do i fix it?

If you are playing pogo games ?

Pogo.com is an online gaming website where you can play well-known games such as Monopoly, Battleship and Scrabble -- along with scores of other board, word, puzzle and arcade games -- in a Web browser window. The games on Pogo are programmed using Adobe Flash, and are viewed in a small box inside the browser. If your computer has a large display, you may find the games difficult to see because of the of the game box. Although you cannot independently adjust the of the Pogo game box, there are several tricks that you can use to make games appear larger on your screen. Magnify the browser window. In Internet Explorer 9, click the gear-shaped button in the upper-right corner of the screen, and click "Zoom" and "Zoom In." Browse in full screen mode. In Internet Explorer 9, press the "F11" key to enter this mode, and press "F11" again to leave it. Lower the screen resolution. In Windows 7, minimize the browser, right-click the desktop and select "Screen Resolution." Click the drop-down menu next to "Resolution," and select a lower resolution than the one currently displayed. Because a lower resolution uses less pixels to display the information on the screen, this has the effect of making the Pogo game box larger. Remember to change the resolution back when you are done playing. Disable the address and status bars in Internet Explorer 9 if a portion of the game window is cut off. Click the gear-shaped button, and then click "Internet Options." Click the "Security" tab, then click the "Custom Level" button. Click the "Enable" radio button next to "Allow websites to open windows without address or status bars," then click "OK" twice. Close and re-open your Pogo game window. Press the "F4" key. Some Pogo games enter full-screen mode when this key is pressed, but many do not. Hope this helps.

Cant get the task bar

There are a few things you can try. 1st I would try to see if the the windows key on your keyboard will launch it. If it does launch make sure it is pinned to the bottom as the taskbar can be moved to either side or the top of your screen. If you do launch it but cannot see all of it your display resolution is not set correctly. If this is the case right click anywhere on the desktop and choose properties the tab all the way to the right will let change the screen resolution. If you need additional help please post back.

Please rate this solution if it has helped you.
Thanks, Gary

I have a 19inch LCD monitor and the main menu resolution screen keeps blinking and wont go off. Have tried to disable it, different settings but it still does it. Can you help please

Try setting your computer itself to a lower resolution first say

1024 x 768

It may be that you are pushing the resolution to high for the monitor to handle

How do i change the resolution after it has been applied?

Hello clsmall

The instructions below are based on the assumption that yours is a Windows-based operating system (not Microsoft Vista, though). If your operating system is Microsoft Windows Vista or a non-Microsoft or or non-Windows-based operating system, please, let us know and we'll provide you w/ the appropriate instructions for changing your resolution.

(01) Right-click anywhere on the desktop (the screen you see after you have logged into Windows).

(02) Select PROPERTIES at the bottom of the context menu

(03) Click on the SETTINGS tab.

(04) In the mid to lower left you will see a section called "Screen Resolution"

(05) Move the slide arrow to the resolution you'd like to try or change to.

(06) Click the APPLY button in the lower right.

(07) Choose the NO button if you don't wish to keep the new resolution and YES if you do.

(08) Repeat this process (steps (5) thru (7)) until you've decided on a new display resolution.

(08) Once you've decided on which resolution you'd like to keep, click the OK button

That should do the trick.

Please, let us know if this response was helpful for your or, of course, if you have more questions, etc. on this topic.

Thank you
BJ
