You IP address needs to be renewed click on the limited or no connectivity. Click repair and allow it allow the computer to reset the IP address. If this does not work you need to uninstall your network driver in the control panel and reinstall it. I would find out the type of network card that you have and then download the new drivers from Internet before you unstall your current nic drivers. If you do not have access to the Internet on this system. Do this on another system and place it on a usb key or cd.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

you will need to add the wireless network manually. I believe the Operating system on the computer is XP. and the security on the wireless network is WEP. make sure that you are typing the correct network key. Click here for more information about routers and network
1. Try unplugging the wireless router for 30 seconds and plugging it back in.
2. If that does not resolve the issue go to My Network Places, Right Click, Properties ... on the icon that represents the wireless connection, right click, select Disable, once the device is disabled, right click again and Enable.
The second set of instructions are assuming you have Windows XP
do one thing put the access point in the universal repeater mode and the put the same ip address of the LAN same means same series for example you using the 192.168.1.x you put the same series ip address. all the same setting of the router or modem wireless or wired all setting shod be same settings
You might need to check if your laptop is able to get a valid IP address when connected wirelessly to the router. You can go to the Control Panel then click on network connections and look for wireless network connection. Right click the wireless network connection then click properties. Click the support tab and there you will see the IP address. You should not be getting 169.254.x.x. Where X represents numbers.
An IP address is very important. Make sure you're getting a correct IP address and it should be the IP address provided by your router. Without a valid IP address, you won't be able to get onlinwe. Your wireless connection can tell you that its connected eventhough its not getting a valid IP address.
If compuetr always saying acquiring network address you can try firt restarting the computer, but if still wont get a valid ip address, you need to adjust the wireless settings of the router and after that try to reconnect to the wireless network....
access your router with ip.
open internet explorer if your defualt router ip is :192.168.0.1 type this http://192.168.0.1 in addres bar in IE. then neter username admin and password aslo admin
if not accepr blnk user name and passowrd is admin.
then go to ssytem then set ip and follow the procedure.
you will need to make sure that DHCP is enabled within the routers settings as this will tell the router to assign ip addresses automatically, then go to network connections, right click on your network card>properties>TCP/IP line>properties and tick 'obtain an ip address automatically', click ok, close window and restart pc.
I believe this has to do with your automatic router/setup for wireless
networks....but this is what I did to clear the same problem:
1) Right click on the tray icon that is searching for validation and select status.
2) A "Wireless Network Connection Status" box will open, click "Properties".
3) Your "Wireless Connection Properties" box will open showing the
Wireless Networks available. Find the wireless network you are
connected to and highlight it by clicking once, then click "Properties"
4) Another box will then open with the properties for your network. Click on the "Authentication" tab.
5) Un-check the "Enable IEEE 802.1x Authentication...." checkbox.
