I've checked my speakers with a 9v. I was pretty sure it wasn't the speakers because they worked when I took the old ones out.

First, get a small 9V battery and connect the leads to your speaker wires. You should hear a pop if your speakers are OK. Then I would check the radio itself and make sure all speaker leads are connected correctly. If this does not work, something is up with the output of your radio. If you are using an amp, make sure all connections are good and that RCAs are connected correctly.

Dash lights gone after installing stero fuses ok but i did have 4 wires left over after stero in stall are the dash lights fed from the stero

the dash lights dont get fed from the stereo , you may have dislodged the wiring connector from the rear of the dash , give them all a push back on , don't worry about the spare wires , they will be for an electric aerial etc

Car stero won't power up...

Just a guess, but it sounds like you were looking for power on the wrong wire. What you measured sounds like the feed that keeps your radio presets from being lost. If I'm right, that wire would be hot at all times. Key on or off doesn't matter. All I can offer is keep looking for the fuse for it. See if your friend can find you a wiring diagram to figure out the radio wiring and what color wire is the power for the radio. If you have your owner's manual, that would show the fuse lay-out, and where the radio fuse is. Good luck.

Not sure how to program in my stations on stero to listen to. there are 6 that are there already but can't change. got car with stero in it but no manual.

Normally you just find the station you want and press and hold the number (1-6) that you would like to store it too. Without knowing the make and model of the stereo this is the best I can give you. Hope that helps.

you have reset the security code on the stero if you have the owners manual for the car you will find it in there otherwise ring honda an give them your VIN/CHASSIS number an they should be able to give you the code to unlock your stero

Lock codes

Your best bet would be to call a dealer. You need to know what stereo is in your car. Call them and give them the serial number off the back of the stereo and they will tell you the codes.
