    my dell optiplex gx280 keeps on restarting computer keeps restarting.

The motherboard is bad. There should be some capacitors with domed or protruding tops.

I have a constant beeb beeb ----beeb beeb---beeb beeb from my speakers or headphones but not from the computer tower when the speakers or headphones are removed. Is this a audio problem with PC or a virus?


Hi there
A couple of points.
Many system boxes no longer have built in speakers, and if they do they are very simple and simply used for POST errors and other alarms eg CPU fan failed, overheating etc. If there is a pattern to the beeps, you need to check against your BIOS codes to ensure nothing serious is happening.
If your system is working completely normally otherwise, then I would suspect an audio problem, which might be resolved by removing and re-installing the audio driver from the disk supplied.

take of your case side take of the ram and clean it and clean it's bank if you use the thinner to clean its better plug the ram again and turn on your pc and good luck

And i replace the ram with ohters.but problem stays.5 beebs and red light


your VGA slot loosen. tighten it by pressing it by a tool like pliers but be cautious you may break it.

Beeps usally video related,,,ddr cards,,try removing one ,,with off ,,,then restart cpu,,see if helps,,if not repeat,,same with next ddr card,,,after putting other card back,,could be bad card,,good luck

It beeps when the computer boots up, sounds like its running , monitor says check your pc. It will ntgo beyond this.


This is a hardware problem like defective ram, cpu or motherboard. Your MB manual gives answers on the sequence of beebs.

if the monitor light blinks remove ur pc cabin and romove the memory card and clean it with a soft clean cloth insert it into the slot if having problemremove it oncemore and restart the computer you hear beeps if you hear beebs switch off and insert the memory in to its module and restart the computer

When switched on, my packard bell imedia 1508/2 sounds long beebs and dosen't send any sign on the screen.no message shown.


Your RAM is not working properly. Remove your RAM from your RAM slot brush it with a dry brush and reattach in your RAM slot, if not then your RAM slot is damaged.

Your computer might emit a series of beeps during start-up if the monitor cannot display errors or problems. This series of beeps, called a beep code, identifies a problem. you need to reseat your memmry modules just remove them and place them back in the same or a diffrant slot this cold be loose connection by connecting them again you fix it
