Empty out the freezer and remove the back liner of the freezer compartment usually phillips screws. In the back you will see the freezer coils along with a defrost element. Below these two items u will see a drip tray that collects water from the coils on defrost cycle, in the center of the pan will be a drain hole that connects to a hose that leads to a pan under the refrigerator.Normally the water is collected there and evaporated. The hole in the tray in the freezer is clogged. Thaw it and clean it until you can pour water in it and it goes to the pan down below. please rate me

Whirlpool side by side full drip pan

The condenser fan should be running whenever the compresser is running. With all of that condensate, I would look at your door gaskets. If they are leaking and you are in a high humidity area you will produce more condensate than what the pan can Handel. Then again. If the compresser is running the heat from the discharge line should evaporate the water with ease. I would look at the seals possibly leaking and ignore the full drain pan.

How do I remove the drip pan from under the freezer? It's full and leaking onto the floor?

There should be a decorative kick panel underneath that will snap out revealing the drip pan which will then slide forward and out to pour the water off.

I had a similar problem with my Whirlpool model 6ED25DQFW side by side refrigerator/freezer with ice maker/water dispenser. Water was slowly pooling under the refrigerator under the freezer section. The defrost drain pipe was not blocked, the condenser fan was running, the drip pan was not leaking.
The source of the leak was found to be the icemaker solenoid block plastic body which had a pinhole leak.
To fix requires either plastic welding, or replacement of the solenoid block plastic body.
To access the solenoid block firstly requires removal of the cardboard cover, located at the lower rear of the refrigerator.

This is not your defrost water. Look closely at the water filter housing where the hoses connect to it. They are likely leaking. Let me know what you see...defrost water never gets that high...not even close.

Drain pan filling up. I emptied the pan and about 24 hours later its full again. We have ice and water in the door the freezer is cold just pan filling

If your evaporator fan is working properly the water would evaporate back into your home or business. If the evaporator fan was not working the freezer would not freeze and fresh food would spoil. That is way too much normal condensate unless there is a leak around the door seal or leak in the cool water supply tank storage or filter area. Not knowing the model number I would think you may have a drain opening under the crisper drawer that leads to pan. And think it may be a good idea to turn water supply off until sure of the source. it may be that your defrost drain hole is blocked at the back. check it out but runnin a flexi band down it. if its the freezer drain hole you will need to do a full defrost to unblock ice.

Whirlpool side by side defrost drain pan overflowing

Maybe your machine has a leaky door, letting moist air inside. Make sure your compressor area is lint free. The heat from the compressor is supposed to evaporate that water. Make sure the pan is exactly in the right place, level, not cracked.
