You should be able to find an HP service provider in your area either by looking in the phonebook or by calling HP directly. You may even be able to order the part directly from HP. You will have to pay for it, however, and if you choose not to do the work yourself, will also be billed for the labor.

After flash BIOS DMI Update fails ?

If you are able to boot into Windows, don't try it again. If you are not able to, try to reflash it. If that fails, contact the tech support for the bios and see if they have any suggestions, sadly I doubt they will. You may end up having to replace the mother board.

My computer died. It won't turn on. The cord works. It's an hp dvr6700. I was told it's probably the mother board by someone in a retail store. Should i buy a new motherboard and try yo figure out how to...

First off-- All your "INFO" is on the hardrive (Nothing to do with the Motherboard) which can be copied or reused if you replace the Motherboard-- NO INFO IS LOST--2nd if you dont hear any beeps or see any lights then yes its probable the MOBO--Did it Overheat? Did you leave it on a bed or something?3rd your best bet is to try Ebay for Motherboard or maybe another HP dvr6700 without a hardrive and then you can just pop yours in.. many options-- but changing a motherboard in a laptop is very tedious- many small fragile parts.

Motherboard Product no. needed

HP uses a proprietary motherboard. The only way you'll find the specifics is on your build sheet from HP or by contacting their tech/customer support department. Sorry I can't be of further help. Good luck.

I have an HP dv2000 notebook with a fried video chip & mother board (pn# 440777-001). i want to know if any of the other mother boards can be used to replace it such as 440778-001 or any of the other intel...

The best thing to do for that particular model is to call HP tech support..........
They have extended the warranty.....but that too has expired...but that model is a such a lemon that HP has replaced most out of warranty boards.
I think there is only one other board that will fit in that case.....but I dont remember the model.
If you search deep on the net you can find that info.....
I just sent one back and HP was helpful.......but it depends mostly on the warranty date.

Which latest Graphic card can be supported by my Asrock P4i45GV?

Hi

Any video card that supports AGP x8 Should work on this motherboard.

For example Nvidia 7800 GS AGP or 7600 GS AGP should work fine.

But a better investment would be to upgrade the motherboard to a PCI-E supporting board and possibly AMD Dual or Triple / quad core processor the ram is very cheap for DDR2 these days.

Upgrade would be best in long run.

Gateway Computer

CVI error is a visual interface error, most likely a graphics card built onto the syetm board. However the motherboards are no longer available but there are a number of ways to upgrade this pc if all else in in good order.Contact for further support
