Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5100 All-In-One Printer

1 Answer

Lower paper tray final position.

Does the lower tray of the Kodak ESP9 All in One Printer go back flush with the rest of the unit, after being loaded? This is the first time I have used it, and frankly I don't recall what it did before you helped me with the paper jam. The printer copies and prints documents as is. apuff4107@hotmail.com

Your printer is working properly right .

Click this link from the picture you are talking about bottom paper tray right . It is just normal for the bottom tray to move with the unit .

I have already posted some more details in premium question which you have asked .

Cannot clear error code 3523 for Kodak ESP 9200 Series all in one printer. Have followed all instructions per Kodak online

Had the same problem error 3523 that would not clear. Tried Kodak support with no results so took matters into my own hands.

Noticed the top tray seemed jammed into the printer. Tried pulling it out but it seemed locked. Flipped the printer over, removed 8 screws, 4 metal plates.

Removed bottom tray, set aside. Remove 3 screws for plastic bracket that holds top tray. Move bracket over, be careful not to damage wires. Remove top tray and reinstall so that it is in extended position. There is two notched in the side of the top tray. Extend so that catch is in back notch.

Reassemble everything in reverse order. Take care that the top tray does not slide into the printer when you turn the printer over. It did for me the first time that the tray jammed again.

Replug everything and startup the printer with top tray extended past bottom tray. The printer will tell you that top tray is jammed, push top tray flush with bottom tray.

Printer now works. Don't know why tray jams in the first place but this solution can keep you from scrapping printer or paying for service.

Very disappointed with Kodak printer. Obviously printers were not their core business and they paid a sub-contractor to build these products for them. My next printer will be an HP.

My hussband was trying to use my printer and put too much paper in, the printer picked up all the paper and it is jammed in the printer. How do I get it out. I know you r not supposed to pull it back out...

The Kodak User guide that is available online gives a detailed description of how to solve this issue. Just check for "Kodak ESP9 user guide" and once you reach the 'Table of Content' page, in the top right corner you have a search box. Type in 'Paper Jam' and you would get the right instructions on how to solve the issue.

Kodak ESP9 all-in-one printer. unable to scan to doument

how do you scan your document are you using the buttons on the printer or are you using the computer and the home center software?

If your using the printer buttons I strongly suggest use the computer and its software the home center. Now if still not scanning and it takes time to scan. restart the computer and while the computer is restarting unplug the power cable of the printer., then do again the scanning if yur computer is ready.

If the troubleshooting did not solve it means the software or the home center is having a problem call kodak for assistance for the software toll free 1 800 421 6699., GudlucK
