Question about iRiver H10 MP3 Player
I have a 5 GB iRiver H10 MP3 Player. It's older technology and it was really only made to run with XP. I once had the drivers for it, a friend found online for me. But I have had to do a system restore since then, and unfortunately I don't have the drivers anymore. Most of the time, my laptop won't even recognize that I have the device plugged in via USB. Sometimes if I turn on the device it will recognize it an attmept to find the drivers. I have wondered if maybe the sync cable I have for the iRiver is faulty. But it works fine once the computer recognizes it. So basically I need drivers for the iRiver, and to make it compatibly with Vista. I have heard that you can run things in XP Compabtibility mode. But I am not sure what I need in that mode. Windows Media Player? The iRiver Music Manager?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can tackle this problem.
Try plugging in usb with the H10 turned off. Now, press the select button (with the round symbol on it) while turning the H10 on. This starts the player in 'emergency mode' and should be recognized by XP
