OK - I have a solution to my problem with this washing machine. Nothing would work except for one of the spin cycles. I thought it was the main switch - the cycle selection and start switch - but I was wrong. The service tech replaced the switch behind the fabric softener. It's the switch that controls the water levels. Part # W10292584. Our government is forcing the manufacturers to put controls on the washing machine to save water. It's a bad idea and is causing lots of problems. Tech says he's replacing them on a regular basis. Less than $100 if you do it yourself. Hope this helps.

They never completely quit working, just certain functions end up not working anymore---like yours. Various suppliers exist for this part ranging from $90-$150. Surf the net to find the best deal. Use your Sears model number on the search. I got mine for $82. Sears wanted $144.
If pump works fine or still pumps out water, then it is a timer malfunction. Replace the timer and you should be fine. To locate a part number for your timer, refer to www3.sears.com with the model number off your washer.
Does the water stop when you push the timer in or are you having to shut the spigots off?? If it stops when the timer is pushed in then you have a problem with the pressure switch. There are quite a few tricks to axcessing your machine's components but if you are handy ill attemt to help.
