Try going into the menu 8 clicks down onto theaf control, and make sure its on single AF ,not continuous,as if its on continuous it will keep trying to stay in focus,if this dosent solv it its probabley a faulty lens

How can I fix the autofocus on my Quantaray 7-300 lens.

Sorry to say but the lens needs to be sent in for repair. To repair or replace the AF motor is usually around the $200.00 range. Do not try to fix it yourself.

My Kodak EasyShare M530 will not turn on, and it is making buzzing noises when I try to turn it on.

its a lens jammed issue. Noise came from lens area. Use air on the lens area for cleaning the dust and then try. If required then trust it in other hand little bit. Not too harder.

Theres a constant ticking sound that continues even after a picture is taken. Could there be something wrong with the lens?

Hello - the noise is made from a camera sound chip - no mechanical parts to make the clicking sound.
There is a choice of shutter sounds - try turning the sound OFF.
I'm assuming the picture looks OK , otherwise you would have said so -- Good luck - Ray

Bought a Sigma DG 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 autofocus for my Nikon D40. When the lens is attached the settings get locked on MF. Is there anything I need to adjust to fix this problem? Charles

The Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG will not autofocus with the D40 since the lens does not feature an internal focusing motor (HSM). The D40 does not have an AF motor in the body and hence it can autofocus only with lenses featuring an integrated motor (eg. Nikon AF-S lenses, Sigma HSM lenses, Tokina DX II series etc). Unfortunately you can use the said lens only in MF mode.

My m1033 camera will not focus and the lens is making a strange shaking noise....tried using air blower...does not help......

This will need to be repaired, The issue here is with the autofocus hence the lens is trying to autofocus but cannot, would never recommend a hair dryer. What needs to happend is bring this guy into a local camera shop to have it taken care of, hair dryer in this case will not work and could damage it further,

Thansk for using fixya.com

It is making a constant strange noise when it is turned on. does it mean it is broken?

Not necessarily.
This camera has an auto lens. Which means it will focus automatically every second, which makes this clicking sound. You can turn this option off:
1: Go into the menu
2: Chose option Cam Settings
3: Switch AUTO focus to single lens and click OK.

It has a lens error. Everytime the camera is turned on it beeps and clicks constantly. It eventually shuts off after displaying "Lens error, restart camera." on the screen.

This is probably THE most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html
