DVD player says "No Signal" when tunred on

I turn the dvd player on and then it just has a blinking blue sign saying no signal. When i put a DVD in, it does the same thing. I don't know what is wrong with it or how to fix it so if you could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: DVD player says "No Signal" when tunred on

We had the "No Signal" problem after a week with the Polaroid PDV-1002A and almost threw it out. We downloaded the manual and it says on the right side there is a small switch AV and to make sure it is on. found this on another site posted by Tim.

Not receiving a TV signal through the DVD recorder and cannot record programs or watch TV through the DVD recorder

Firstly you must have a good connection from your antennae to the dvd recorder, secondly a good connection between recorder and tv
via scart lead or hdmi. Check these out before you do anything else.

The disc is stuck in the player and the tv screen says it cannot get a signal.

Barbara, your dvd player needs to be either on channel 3 or 4. If you have a local channel 3 or 4 switch it to the one that is not local. Or it could be a video 1,2 or 3. Just keep using the remote in that format and you will find the signal.

Hi, Just bought new hdmi dvd. Tried connecting to tv but getting blue screen with sign reading "no signal". Please help.

you need to push your input button on the remote control and scrool down to HdMI 1 or 2 depending on what port you have it hooked to the port on the TV will say 1 or 2 on it this will give you your picture .

Model DRC 8310 RCA VCR/DVD player/recorder combo.

Did you put a splitter onto the cable signal? If yes, the signal is attenuated to much and there simply isn't enough signal for the recorder to decode. Call your cable company and request a signal amplifier be placed on your line. It's usually free.

Wrong signal type

I had this problem. It turns out that the recorder doesn't support 60hz recording. When I put my Xbox onto 50hz, it allowed me to record perfectly....however, most games require 60hz so this meant i couldn't record anything.

Dvd burner

Can you try just running a/v cable from your tv output to the inputs on the ilo, then whatever you watch on your tv you can record on your dvd burner. My new SDTV doesnt have audio out except Coax so this won't work for me on that tv. Why doesnt the newer tv's have audio AND video outputs???
