Question about Apple iPod nano

1 Answer

4th generation IPOD Nanno 8gb just dies

I was listening to it in my truck. I had stopped it for a litle bit, when i went to listen again nothing came on the screen. I know it had a charge so i tried reseting the ipod by holding the center and menu buttons. No luck. When I plugged it into my usb the computer recognised it but the ipod did not show up in itunes. Ive only had it for a week. I know apple is going to send me out there repair thing but im scared they will reject it so im hoping some one on here can help me.

Sometimes the batteries in devices like this fade over time. If the iPod saw heavy use and many charge/use cycles, this may have depleted the batteries efficiency enough to warrant the lower playback times.

Battery Problem?

It's possible you damaged the battery but not likely. The ipod has a circuit inside it to prevent overcharging (i.e. it stop scharging when the battery is full).
I would try the five R's at apple's website and then try charging it again and see if it fixes the problem.
See the five R's here:
