Hi, if in agreement to what you indicate your problem it resides in the system board, anyway I recommend to you that before taking the decision to replace the system board, you realize the following tests. 1.-Removes the battery packaging. 2.-It Tries removing one of the banks of memory, if only you possess a dimm of memory tries placing it in another socket. 3.-It Checks that the AC Adapter works adequately, that is to say that this giving the 15 volt of output requiere for the machine

If the blinking light is the power on LED (normally green), then you'll have to disconnect it from power and pull the battery to get it to stop. If you connect it back to power and the amber light blinks right away, or if you connect it to power, press the power button, and the power LED starts blinking amber, then you have a bad motherboard. I see about one every two years....
If you think this is a keeper (which I do), eBay is probably the best place to buy a whole or partial unit for a song and a dance ($30-$50 target price). The Satellite A10 and A15 series are hardware identical: A10's are corporate offerings with XP Pro, and A15's are nearly all retail offerings with XP Home, that being the only difference.
The device you need is called a scan converter, they are available from www.newegg.com search for avermedia. Please keep in mind, these adapters will convert from pc to tv but the picture in now where near as clean and crisp, especially for text. I think your best be would be to spend just a little more and get a 19-22" LCD monitor.

yes, my friend in effect, the led amber turn on and on having pressed power button does not do anything the equipment it means that the fault is generated by the system board, the solution is replace it.
Hi, the problem of which they power on both led and on having pressed the button of power on does not spend anything, it indicates that his equipment does not ignite and probable mas is that mother has got damaged the card reason for which it does not ignite the equipment.
