What you need to do is buy additional memory and install it.
Whats happening is that the memory installed is not enough to run all the applications on your computer. In order, to properly run any more applications (programs) its the only thing you can do or remove the programs you don't need.
Hope this helps. Bud

Why can't I find a McAfee website to activate my anti virus. I purchased McAfee Total Protection Anti Virus at Walmart. There is NO Disc, just a product key. I have found No website to manually instal

Throw McAfee away (and Widnows as well while you're at it...if you are a brave soul). In Windows install AVG...the FREE version is sufficient. Alternatively, DITCH WINDOWS. Do you enjoy being a slave to Microsoft and Bill Gates. Just because They and He are mega-rich, doesn't mean that they are right.

Check out online the operating system which I am using right now (and have been using for many years), it's called LINUX and it's FREE. All versions and variations of, number in the hundreds, Current versions install in about 18 minutes and enable the user to do anything they want on a pc (old and new pc-s are supported). Extract a copy onto a DVD disc and RUN it you pc's memory or install it onto a spare drive and become liberated. Also there are currently 45,365 free apps.

And the running spped puts other OS systems to shame.

If you are running WIndows Vista, right click the file to install iTunes and select RUN as ADMINISTRATOR.
If running XP, you may have an account permissions issue that could be caused by several issues (Group Policy, SPyware, Corrupt profile. If you are an administrator account on the system, try creating a new account and see if program will install. If it does, your profile has issues. If it doesn't I'd try a malware scan.
If is also possible that your security software is blocking the install it you are Running McAfee or Norton Security center applications

Download the program "Revo Uninstaller" from www.download.com it is a free program that searches out every little nit of a programs existance and snuffs it out. One of the best programs I've seen for uninstalling retail garbage. When you install it and run it. It will give you a listing of all programs currently on the machine, highlight the one you want to get rid of and click on uninstall. Choose option (4), this will search the registry and get rid of everything. The original programs uninstaller will run first, let it do its thing even if it fails, hit ok and Revo will take over from there. Do not let the original program reboot, click no and continue with the Revo program. Click yes to get rid of everything each time you are asked. When it is finished it will tell you.

I am trying to download McAfee Antivirus and keep getting error 76556 that does not permit installation I already removed all the other Antivirus/Firewall from the computer.... But still when i try to...

Was the other antivirus/firewall program you had installed on your PC McAfee or another brand? If there was another brand (example: Symantec) you will need to run a full uninstall utility (accessable from most software vendors websites). If the other antivirus/firewall was McAfee, run the full uninstall utility which is called the McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool which you can obtain at the link I provided below; again this is for McAfee products only. If the last software you had on your PC was McAfee, then run this tool, this will do a complete job of removing old remnants that Add/Remove does not. It will then reboot your PC, and after which you should be able to reinstall your new McAfee software.

If it wasn't McAfee, you will have to check the company's site for a removal tool as Symantec (as an example) has one too.

Svchost.exe

svchost.exe is apart of windows. It sounds like your system was infected. When you install security on a system thats not healthy, the infection can compromise and corrupt your new security causing it to not work correctly, or show false positives.

Mcafee and CA both aren't that great. I recommend the paid edition of Malwarebytes and AVG. Both work much better then CA, Mcafee, Norton, etc.. just to name a few.

At this point your going to need to get the system healthy. This is the dangerous part I recommend letting a professional help you, because remvoing infections can cause data loss and you risk making the system even worse. I recommend NickLockard.com

Problem with antivirus or firewall

Hi Tanya!Looks like you have some registry entries left..you can delete them as follows..
Click start->run->type regedit
When the registry editor opens click on edit ->find->type mcafee
When you find something just press del..Keep pressing F3 until you get a message finished searching thru the registry..
The try installing norton..If it still doen't work then you might have been infected with some kind of virus..If this is the case restart the computer in safemode and try to install.Post back the status so that we can help you resolve this issue..
