Question about Arris SURFboard SB4200 Modem
I have comcoast cable i cannot get my modem work reset modem an still will not work
I can sympathize with the problems you are having with Comcast. I have had similar ones to yours at my house not too long ago. Have you called Comcast and had them enable the MAC address of the modem? If not, give them a call, and they can have you up and running in about 5 minutes. Depending on the modem, the MAC address will be on a label on the bottom or back of the modem. Make sure that you have it correctly written, have your Comcast account number, and call them. If they tell you that you need an appointment, tell them you want it escalated to a tech. With that address and your account, once you are enabled by Comcast, you should be in business.
Hope this helps you out!

SOURCE: sb4200 modem not working
The only time you need software for a Motorola SB4200 is if you are using USB. If you use ethernet then it is simply plug and play, no drivers required.
The USB Drivers are here.
Hope this helps.
