Simply, some DVD players just will not play certain discs. Especially copies of discs. If your having trouble with a movie that is made for release, ya know, one you buy at a store.....then make sure the disc is clean, no scratches, and loaded correctly. Also, maybe buy a disc cleaner disc for cd/dvd players. Lastly, remove any discs, turn off the dvd player, unplug it for a minute, plug it back in, turn on and load a disc. Hope this helps.
Buy a DVD burner at your local electronics store. Not the kind for your computer, but the one that looks like a DVD player that will connect to your TV. It will cost you less than $100.
Connect it to your TV like you would a DVD player. Connect the output of your video camera into the DVD burner "input". Play back the video camera tape while recording on the DVD burner.
Now you will have your home movies on DVD. You can then import them into iTunes or use a program to "rip" DVD to mp3 or mp4 and put them on your PC. Don't forget to make a copy of the DVDs and put them some place safe in case your house burns down.
I have the same exact problem with that dvd player. So far i am not aware of any solutions yet. I called phillips and they said they will try to create new firmware uprgade for the dvd player to fix the problem and they told me to keep an eye out for it on the website. I installed the most recent firmware too but that didnt help at all. The only other solution i see is maybe downloading the entire movie from pirate website and burn the dvd files onto a high quality disc at slow speed with a good dvd writing program.
i am not getting your complete querry but may be i can help you out buddy..
i guess u must have got some PC suite along with the player..there you will find the software to run the movie..
i hope this will help you out..
belated Merry X-mas and Happy New Year :)
Kay what happens with some players is that they are only bulit to play a certain kind of disc. It also may be because the player is old. If you buy a new player it will be able to play all DVD's that you put in it.
