Factory TNR800 radio breaks. Replacement does not work

The repalcement radio was advertised as a Delphi TNR 800. I t looks like and fits like a TNR 800. The number on the label is" '05 GMT 257TNR" Plugs fit, unit powers up but screen is blank(lit but blank) No sound and no repsonse to buttons or screen

Is this the wrong radio or is something wron with the truck?

The radio should be showing up "Theftlock Activated". That radio originally came from a Buick Rendezvous. The buttons will light up a blue-green color unlike the white on the 800 TNR. You should be able to get the radio to at least power up when the key is in the "Acc" position after plugging it in.

Turn the radio off and disconnect the battery for a few minutes thenturn the switch to acc. the radio should work, there are two factory plugs that need to be pluged in to the back of the radio and the antenna for the nav. if it dosen't turn on and play then you have the wrong radio head

It needs to be unlocked and programmed by a GM dealer. I had mine done for about $75 US. When first installed it behaved just like yours - blue screen and no response.

I don't know if this can help but try the following:
1- press the RPT/NAV Button untill you hear the beep.
2- hold the config button for arround 30 or 40s until you heard the beep, now a new config screen is opened.
3- try the 3rd button on the right as i remember, you will open a new screen where you can adjust the distance and the number of pulse(related to the Vehicle Speed Sensor).

4- don't try to mess with anything else like Memery clear or program Clear or anything else or i beleive you will lose the programming.
