Need key code (WEP) for D-Link router to type into a second computer for wireless access

Connect your router to computer with lan cable then you can access it with default link http://192.168.1.1 then type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or blank or "password" then you can see settings of router. Welcome to Fixya. If you need your Wep Key (Passphrase) we can access the Wireless Settings Page of the router to obtain the information needed.

To access the router page you need a working computer that is connected to the router. To access your router you need to use a computer that is connected to it. Open a Browser then type 192.168.0.1 or http://routerlogin.net. The Default username is admin and the password is password. Password is case sensitive.

Go to the Wireless Tab select Wireless Security under the Security Mode you will see there Network Key (Wep Key) or Passphrase. The Network Key serves as a password or security code on your network to make it secure. Network Key is case sensitive.

To access the router page just open a browser then type 192.168.1.1, the Default username is blankand the password is admin. Go to the Wireless Tab select Wireless Security under the Security Mode you will see there Network Key or Wep Key. Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. You can change the WEP key on your router.

In the address bar of your browser, type 192.168.0.1 to access the setup page of the Dlink router.

By default the username is admin and leave the password blank.

On the Setup page, go to Wireless.

Security Mode should be WEP then click Next.

You can change the WEP KEY 1. Make sure you remember this because you will need to enter this on your wireless computer.

Save the settings.

Is there any computer online using the router.
If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router.
If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer.

You can secure your wireless network wit WEP or WAP code.

If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it.
Then it ask for user name and password.
Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank.
Then you can see configuration page of router.
Click on wireless settings then enable WEP Security then add WEP code .It is your password to connect wi fi.Then save settings and restart router.
Then you can connect your wi fi network with that code.
The old password is in * or # format so you need to enter new password.

a router by default is open to all network.To set a key you need to go into a browser and type 192.168.*.* depending on your router it will differ from others.Then once into your router setting you can create a password and wep key according to your wants.It is not a difficult task but you need some patience and a bit of struggling with some google help will solve this problem.
