800 watt mono block sony xplod amp blowing my dual coil 1500 watt subs

if the wiring to the sub is correct, then you have something wrong with the amp itself... something is power surging to the subs which is causing them to blow

Hi Ive brought a Sony 2dx-gt590ui and sub and amp got it all wired up but the sub only works on radio can you tell me what Ive done wrong???

You can try to connect the remote power wire at amplifier to main power with a jumper wire if sub works with cd and other sources. Then check remote wire from behind radio or you can simply connect remote power wire to a another switched power source from fuse panel.Just make sure its a clean dedicated power source from fuse box and make sure it turns off amp..Goodluck

I have a problem with my amp in my Jeep. At first I thought it was a bad cable because one day after it had sat for two months it quit working and will always blow the fuse in the amp. tried diff grounds....

check the switch power wire. the blue small guage wire to the amp and check to see your not supplying to much voltage there. also check to see the wiring to the speakers are not bridged in the wrong way or touching each other inside your box

Instrument panel guages quit. Getting 'No Bus' error in odometer.

That wire needs to be hooked to the factory radio , part of the PCI bus - serial data communication network . I know on GM vehicles if the radio isn't hooked to the bus the vehicle will not start an run . Don't know if Dodge vehicles are that complex . http://www.dodgeintrepid.net/31-car-audio-video/58412-why-pci-bus-connection-radio.html http://www.carsondemand.com/IDLdocuments/Learning%20Guide/4450-t9r0k5io6vxazm80x5ire9zj4.pdf

You mite call a aftermarket installer an ask or the dodge dealer

No spark

Is the coil pack working at all? It could just be a simple ignition ground gone bad, or even a power wire corroded to badly. Also, clean the connections between the plugs and wires, and also the coil pack and wires.

You will need to show it to a service technician as it seems the output section has blown so it remains in protect mode. One reason (could be) that the input to the amp was high and may have been clipping for some time before the amp decided it could take it no more
