yes at times the amps would be clipping and sometimes i could see a yellow light lighting up in the back of the speaker. So maybe the tweeter really is blown.

I have a 2001 buick century and the horn wont work. the fuses are good im trying get it legal can i put a push button for a quick fix to get it to pass and how would i wire it the easiest way possible ill...

if all else fails get an air horn and blow it at the same time the horn gets pressed to make the inspector think it works. ;)
Try popping the hood on your car and look for the horn. They should be up near the front by the radiator or headlights then take the connections off and replace them securely. If no luck there replace the fuse, the fuses dont always look blown when they stop functioning. After that take the horns out of your car (usually just a screw to dismount the bracket holding the two horns to the panel.) and manually hook power up to them by touching wires to the ports and then power on the wire. (i know that we allways make sure there isnt power to the wire before we need there to be there because its just not safe...right?) At this point you should know your problem. If not than you need to test your power leading into your horn.

2003 mitsubishi spyder horn dont work

In many cases, a blown fuse is the reason a horn does not work. Locate your fuse box. The specific location can be found inside your owner's manual. Inside of the fuse panel, you will find a diagram of the fuses. One of the fuses will say Horn. I recommend changing the fuse. If you do not know a lot about changing fuses, a auto parts store should be able to help you out. Hope this helps!

JRX125...there was a rattle/noise that indicated blown driver on midrange horn...replaced drivers, noise still occurs. discovered loose 1/4 in jack to tip of plug...tightened fit, but didn't trust...

The noise MIGHT be a resonance in the cabinet. The way to find out is to sweep a frequency upward to see if something rattles at certain frequencies... Don't be surprised to find several. Within the cabinet are the usual culprits: Wires rattling against the cabinet, loose debris, grilles and the logos on them, circuit boards with crossover hardware, cabinet wood that is not glued and rattles against itself. Things like bass port tubes can rattle.
Find an audio generator and sweep the cabinet from 50Hz to 10KHz and you will be surprised. Some speakers may have resonances as well. Expect things in your room to start rattling as well.
This is really the only way to find the problem. PLEASE wear hearing protectors at levels above 90Db.

Horn not working on 98 dodge caravan

It could be the fuse that has blown. Please check the fuse box under the hood for any blown fuses. Replace if found blown. Second reason could be the maladjusted contact points. They have to be so adjusted that the come in contact when you press the horn button or whatever your car has. Third reason could be the wires have broken. Please check the wire from the battery onwards to the horn switch to the horn.

The JRX series have weak HF drivers, only rated for some 25 watts or so. Are you running in Bi-Amp or straight? Could be bad capacitors in the crossovers. Could also be clipping of your amp, a common cause of failure is using too small an amp and pushing it past it's clean operation limits. Speakers don't like square waves. Was the "Clipping" light flashing on the amp?
