My Toshiba Satellite A105 freezes at logon screen. The computer was running fine with NO problems what so ever prior to this even. I run frequent virus scans, my computer stays up to date. Any advice?

Hi, I recommend to you to reinstall the operating system with the disc of recovery that accompanies your equipment, it is possible that the this corrupt operating system and because of it the machine freezes.

If you don't even see the Toshiba logo then this is trouble because this indicates a motherboard issue to a screen problem, this clearly is a manufacture defect and should be returned because there nothing can be done without voiding the warranty.

If you've replaced the LCD Panel already, then chances are good, the failing part may be the FLR inverter. It's a thin little chip about 3 or 4 inches in length that bridges the connection between the LCD and the motherboard. It's location varies from computer to computer though, so you may have to check with manufacturer documentation. They're not too terribly expensive to replace though, much cheaper than the LCD panel, anyways.

Toshiba Satellite A105 - S4547, screen goes black when using the battery (not plugged in)

check your control panel/video to ensure device driver is current. use driverguide.net.since when on battery no pic suggests that the battery life span is shortened. Recharge and check how long the battery level lasts when doing normal internet or document reviews. Video playing drains the battery at a high rate, when battery is already low, virtual memory tries to assist.
