Internal fuse apparently blown. Was provided a number by one of your guru's for AT&T for a replacement part but that # was non-functional and I couldn't get that guru (jonniewalker) back again. Can someone check my earlier conversations with jonniewalker and 'technodeal' and please help me get my $20's worth! Thanks

You apparently have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.
I had the same problem, took it apart and it was gummed up with some kind of syrup, which I cleaned off with alcohol. Further checking revealed that fuse F1 had blown, and since it was a surface mount fuse, carefully unsoldered it and substituted several strands of about 28 gauge wire (should be about 3 amps at 6 volts). It apparently works fine now, will report back if any problems...
It could be a simple as the phone has call forwarding to another extension set up on it or the direct line could also be programmed on the other set. Does the screen on the non- ringing m7208 display "forward to:xxx" or does it display the current day and time?

To open phone remove the 2 crews at the bottom, then pry open using a screw driver to unlock the internal fasteners. then remove 3 internal screws. Clean-up the PCB key and the back of the keypad with Acetone. This works perfectly. Saved me $150 on a new set.
