'/ajax/chat/settings.php?_ecdc=false': a network error has occured. please check that you are connected to the internet.

Hi

I think it's a javascript related problem. You should be up and running in a few minutes if you follow these 2 little solutions. As I am not sure how much you know about computers I will provide you with a practical solution. You should make sure that you get your browser clean before moving on to something else (therefore right click on the icon choose properties>> delete all cache and stuff from the internet options)

1. An easy way out to solve this should be to download another browser DIFFERENT from what you've got. If you use it on internet explorer then download mozilla firefox and it should work fine.

2. You may optionally try this. The EASIEST way out should be to uninstall internet explorer and reinstall this should get you up and running. First download the new browser (IE 8 is quite good), and if just an upgrade is available dont worry save it to desktop. Now go to control panel choose add/remove programs or uninstall a windows feature in case of vista uninstall internet explorer and reinstall it from the prgram you had saved on the desktop.

hope this fixya helped you :)

Happy chatting :)

When trying to talk to a friend in a Facebook Chat, and if AN ERROR OCCURED appears, the Easiest solution is to log in to facebook from another Computer, talk to the friends where that error appears, and than go back to your Personal Computer, and the problem is fixed! It works 100%

Hi,

When she logs in, click on Account, then Privacy Settings.

At the bottom of the page is Block Lists. Click on Edit your lists.

Enter their name in the Block Users space and click Block.

That should take care of it.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Cannot find chat bar ............

Chat bar is usually located in the right bottom corner of your facebook page. If you still can't find it, you probably accidentally clicked "pop out chat box' the last time. In this case the chat box will be in a separate window. Also if you clicked on that little box in the right bottom corner that says "pop in chat" this will resolve your issue.

However if this will not resolve it, try refreshing your browser, click "Home", look at the left middle side of the Facebook page that will show your status in chat. Click "go online".

One sure fire way to make it forget her login is to:

1. Click on Tools -> Delete Browsing History -> Delete All... (if Internet Explorer version 7)

OR

2. Tools -> Options -> Internet Options -> General (for IE6)
  • Click "Delete Files," then "OK."
  • Click "Delete Cookies," then "OK."
  • Click "Clear History," then "Yes."
This will make the browser "forget" any stored data from previous users. Hope this helps! Thanks!
