I have a lamp for my Panasonic PT-44LCX65 but I can't find my manual that tells me how to install it

To install the lamp remove the bottom silver panel just pull on the panel and it should come off. the look for a door on the left side with a thumb wheel on top and turn it to open the door, Then looking inside you will see the lamp assembly, there is a screw on the right side of the lamp assembly simply loosen it and pull on the handle just left of the screw and the lamp should come out. Reverse the proceedure and you should be good to go.

Lamp indicator flashes red 3 times every 5 secs.

Three blinks - B+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 3 blink fault. This is also a problem in the power supply circuit, check T603 and R672.

The air filter should be a user-accessible thing. Consult your owners manual for details. Can you find the manual?

Look in the service manual for the section on using the adjustment set-screws. (I'm not an expert, but this sounds like what you are looking for.) This section is somewhat toward the back of the manual before the electrical schematics and part explosion pages.
